Sketching Out History

This promotional poster was designed for Sketching Out History, a community mural workshop series in Oldham, created in collaboration with the Crossley Community Centre and Peshkar. The design captures the spirit of collective storytelling and historical reflection, encouraging residents to share their memories and experiences of Oldham. The visual style merges bold, dynamic illustration with historical and cultural references, making it both engaging and informative. The QR code directs participants to a digital survey, ensuring accessibility and interaction.

To promote Sketching Out History across different platforms, I created multiple variations of the main poster. These included alternative layouts for print, digital adaptations for Instagram, and story-sized graphics optimized for engagement. Each version retained the core message while adjusting composition, typography, and colours for different formats. The Instagram posts were designed to be eye-catching in a feed, using concise text and strong visuals to encourage participation.
